Not so fast Koko!
Despite having said
that he will file charges against those who have besmirched his name, a Law
Dean has reminded senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel” that he has violated
quarantine protocols.
“Threats of filing
cases will not change the fact that you violated the law and endangered the
lives of Filipinos that you swore to protect,” read Atty. Quicho’s latest Facebook
post.

“Shame on you” added
Quicho, who was also the former spokesman of former Vice President Jejomar
Binay and late Supreme Court Senior
Associate Justice Antonio Carpio.
Atty. Quicho filed last month a criminal
complaint against Pimentel before the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the
alleged breach of quarantine protocols for having visited the Makati Medical
Center (MMC) last March 24.
In the complaint,Senator Pimentel is accused of having
violated Republic Act 11332 (the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and
Health Events of Public Health Concern Act) and its implementing rules and
other Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
Last month the
Department of Justice issued a sub poena as against senator Koko Pimentel for
his alleged breach of quarantine protocols in visiting the Makati Medical
Center (MMC) last March 24.
“(M)y lawyers will do
what is necessary” – was the answer of the senator when she was asked to
comment regarding the DOJ’s move in issuing the subpoena for himto appear in
the preliminary investigation of the case which was tentatively scheduled on
May 20.
“Re(garding) DOJ case,
my lawyers will do what is necessary. I will defer to them,” Pimentel said.
