They
realized that what they did was definitely wrong.
The
ABC News Australia interview with Rappler founder and Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) Maria Ressa went viral for all the wrong reasons – she said that the
Lopez controlled ABS-CBN Corporation has 11 million employees and that the
government agency – National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) took away from
their employment when it issued a cease and desist order that led to the
shutting down of the TV network.
A
complete fake news and misinformation was said in the interview, which for the
foreign audience might have taken it as it is and the damage it has done to the
image to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and eventually to the country.

Fact
check is that ABS-CBN is only employing 11,000 and not 11 million as said
claimed by Ressa.
NTC
did not took the ABS-CBN legislative franchise but it expired, NTC by itself
alone cannot take away a franchise, that power solely lies in Congress.
ABC
News even before getting wind of what happened, took off the comments section
from the said interview.
A
few hours after it was posted and published on Youtube, the Australian news
agency finally took down the video.
As
of presstime, said video of the interview is no longer available on Youtube.
But
of course copies of the said interview have been uploaded on other Youtube
channels.
