Unacceptable! : Robredo on Vico's being summoned by NBI

Finally the Vice President has made her opinion regarding the National Bureau of Investigation’s invitation to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.

A day after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte fired Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) Commissioner Manuelito Lunawho suggested to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)to investigate the Vice President for competing with the national government’s efforts with respect to dealing with novel coronavirus 2019 disease or COVID-19.

“It’s unacceptable because we have seen the President’s message passing to local government units the care of those within their jurisdiction,” Robredo, speaking in Filipino, said in an interview with ANC.

“The that move by the NBI goes against what we encourage at a time like this, considering that the decision making of the government is too centralized,” she added.

The Vice President said that those local government units who are out of the box thinkers in giving solutions or to go about in crafting solutions for stopping the spreading of COVID-19 should be appreciated.

The NBI has ordered Sotto to submit on April 7, his response to the allegation that he might have violated guidelines on the Luzon-wide quarantine as set forth in the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act
