Pasig
city local government is demanding discipline from its constituents in order
for all of them can avail of the cash aid.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto is urging residents of the city to
cooperate and be patient so that the distribution of cash under the national
government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) go smoothly so that the city’s
supplemental SAP could begin.
“Mga PasigueƱo, kung wala po tayo sa listahan, wag na tayong magbakasakali. Manatili na po muna sa bahay,” Mayor Sotto said.

“Muli, 93K lang ang naaprubahan at
sumusunod tayo sa guidelines ng national. Hayaan niyo nang maging smooth at mabilis
ang pamamahagi ng 93K na ito, para masimulan na natin ang pagbabahay-bahay ng
Pasig SUPPLEMENTAL SAP,” he explained.
“Mga
maayos na barangay gumugulo lang kapag may mga nagbabakasakali at mga usisero –
wag niyo nang hintayin na sitahin kayo ng PNP at Peace & Order Officers
natin,” Sotto said.
Last
week the Sotto said that Pasig City will shell out P1 billion to help its
residents to rebuild their lives.
Cash
aid from the national government will only cover 93,000 of Pasig’s poorest
families. The local government withdrew from its trust fund and postponed some
projects to give P8,000 each to 150,000 other families, said Sotto.
