Days
after the emotional address of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno went viral , he had some
sort of ‘scoldings’ from Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto and outspoken
senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson.
While
it cannot be totally attributed to that address, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte,
majority of his cabinet officials, some 200 lawmakers from the House of
Representatives have pledged part of their salaries to the novel coronavirus
2019 disease or COVID-19 war chest.
Yesterday,
in her Instagram account senator Grace Poe made it public her act of generosity
when she has launched her own relief operations not donating cash or goods but
the much sought for testing kits for the novel coronavirus disease to several
lucky barangays in Metro Manila.

The
said test kits are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA),
according to the lady senator.
“Salamat
sa mga taong naging daan upang makapagbigay tayo ng 1000 FDA approved rapid
test kits sa iba’t-ibang Barangay Health Centers sa Metro Manila,” Poe wrote on
Instagram.
The senator sadi the testing
kits will help detect and isolate patients with coronavirus infection.
“Isa itong hakbang tungo sa mabilis na
pagtukoy ng mga may Covid-19 sa isang lokalidad upang mapabilis ang contact
tracing at maiwasan ang paglaganap pa ng sakit,” he said.
