Former Senator Antonio
Trillanes IV choses to be at the other side of the fence again.
He is of the opinion that
those people found outside of their homes during the Luzon wide lockdown is not
automatically “pasaway.”
Trillanes said these people could be on
their way to work or even homeless.

Martial law type ECQ
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
in one of his public address that if people will still continue defying the
enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) guidelines and curfew he will be forced to
call upon the members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the
Philippine National Police(PNP) to augment the local government units in the enforcement
of the ECQ.
He did
not hide his frustrations over the numbers that he is seeing and the news of
various violations of the ECQ.
Duterte said his order would be akin to the declaration of “martial
law.”
“I’m just asking for
your disiplina kasi ‘pag ayaw ninyo, mag-take
over ang military pati pulis (I’m just asking for your
discipline because if you won’t follow, I’d ask the police and the military to
take over). I am ordering them now to be ready,” he said in a speech aired over
state-run PTV-4.
Under Article 7, Section 18 of the 1987
Constitution, the President can declare martial law, “in case of invasion or
rebellion, when the public safety requires it.”
