After calling the Duterte govt as "clowns" & "thief": Ligo donates sardines to VP Leni

Politics is in play, whether they deny it or not.

The recent donation of canned sardines by Ligo Sardines to Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo undeniably will help a lot of our fellowmen who are in dire need of relief goods most especially now that the entire of Luzon is under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

So they say “the dye has been cast” when prior to the donation Ligo vice president for production Mikko Lawrence Tung criticized and called the Duterte government as “clowns” and “thief.”

(from VP Leni's Facebook Account)

In her Facebook, Vice President Leni thanked Ligo Sardines Philippines for the donation of 20,000 cans of sardines which will be distributed through the “Angat Buhay” project of VP Leni Robredo.

In the private post in his Facebook, Tung said that they should learn from their mistakes, a lot more  good to donate to others than to government whom he called clowns and thief.

“Let us learn from our mistakes. Do not give it to these (clowns). We will do a lot more good on our own than trusting our donations with the government. This is theft right before very eyes,”Tung said.

It was later clarified by Tung that his post was his personal opinion and not that of the company.
