Sen. Pacquiao & Jack Ma to donate 50,000 COVID-19 testing kits to PH

We need all the help we can get.

The Duterte administration has its hands full stopping the spread of the novel coronavirus 1029 disease or Covid-19.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has declared the entire island of Luzon on “enhanced community quarantine” in an effort to control the spreading of covid-19 and to re assure the public that the government is doing everything to protects its citizens.

During the press briefing, the President also called on the private sector, big businesses and the country’s taipans to help government in the fight against the covid-19.

So it’s a good news, that Chinese billionaire Jack Ma and Senator Manny Pacquaio have teamed up to donate 50,000 coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) testing kits to the Philippines in a bid to fight and arrest the outbreak of the disease.

“We’re excited to announce the Jack Ma Foundation, in partnership with PacquiaoFoundation is pledging 50,000 test kits to combat COVID-19 in the Philippines,” announced Senator Pacquiao in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Pacquiao added: “With everything that’s happening around the world today, there is no better time to unite and do whatever we can to help each other.

Senator Pacquaio also thanked the Jack Ma Foundation for the generous donation.

Jack Ma has earlier provided a massive supply of masks and testing kits to Japan, Korea, Italy, Iran, Spain, USA and 54 countries in Africa.

As per the DOH, the country currently has 142 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 12 deaths.
