Lawmaker's call for : work from home and early closing of class to combat spreading of COVID-19

Lawmakers have given there on take how to combat the spreading(by local transmission) of the COVID-19 after the Department of Health declared CODE RED-alert level 1.
Suggestions from declaring an early school break, to allowing employees to work from home, to giving temporary relief to businesses and free protective masks to the public.

The Department of Health (DOH) through the press briefing conducted by Francisco Duque himself on Saturday confirmed that not only were there six confirmed COVID-19 cases but that the virus that causes the respiratory disease had already spread locally.

The 62 year old diabetic who most likely got infected from her husband, who has no travel history abroad where the virus has been spreading.
“There are only a few days left ’til the summer break, so we should ask DepEd (Department of Education) to just order the early break, as what has been done to hundreds of millions of school kids all over the world to avoid contamination and spread,” Zubiri said in a statement.

Gabriela Partylist representative Arlene Brosas suggested the government should provide free protective masks and provide free laboratory test for the COVID-19, especially to the poor who would not even prioritize such.
Senators Joel Villanueva and Risa Hontiveros called on all employers to allow their workers to work from home (to those possible) to lower their risk of contracting and spreading the COVID-19.
