The
President is calling for unity in this time of crisis.
During
one of his national address late Tuesday, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte asked
all public servants to “set aside our differences” and “work in solidarity” in
the fight against the novel coronavirus 2019 disease or (Covid-19).
He
assures the whole country the government under his watch has no sole purpose
but to serve the Philippines most especially to those who are most in need.

“We only have one common enemy and
that is Covid-19. Our transparency, integrity, accountability, and responsiveness
are needed and I expect all of you to exercise all these in safeguarding our
fellow Filipinos,” the President said.
“As President, I assure you — I
assure the public that the government is on top of this situation at all times.
We will not leave anyone behind. Sabay sabay nating labanan ang Covid-19 para
sa kabutihan ng lahat,” he also said.
The Chief executive also appealed for
“patience, understanding, and utmost cooperation” as the government authorities
are fighting the dreaded disease that has claimed 35 lives in the country.
“With your support, I am confident
that we will emerge triumphant. Nothing is more formidable and resilient than
the Filipino spirit,” according to him.
