‘We are not a perfect organization’ - ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN agrees that it is “not a perfect organization” but still would conduct to “maintain the highest level of integrity” as a media outfit.

The statement came amid the two fronts of problem the station is facing, one the non-renewal of the legislative franchise in the House of Representatives and the quo warranto petition which seeks to revoke the franchise the State granted to ABS-CBN.

The embattled network also thanked everyone who has expressed their “overwhelming support”.

“While we are not a perfect organization, we assure the public that we strive to maintain the highest level of integrity as we work to deliver services that many Filipinos believe to be important and meaningful to them,” the network said.

Currently, there are 11 pending bills that are pending in the House of Representatives and there is no schedule for it to be heard in the lower house. While early this week the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) through its head SolGen Jose Calida filed a quo warranto proceeding which calls for the revocation of the franchise of ABS-CBN for alleged abuses in the life of the franchise that was issued by the State.

The Supreme Court (SC) has given the media outfit ten days from its receipt to answer the allegations espoused by the OSG in their petition before the Court.
