Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo in an interview with
Ted Failon last February 13, said that
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is no longer open to the review of the Visiting
Forces Agreement with US and is not interested in VFA with other countries.
“We cannot be a parasite to every country na ang gusto natin tumulong sa atin,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo
said in an interview with Ted Failon
“The way his body language says, mukhang ayaw
niya na rin niyan. Kasi considering na sinasabi niya na it’s about time to
stand on our own, strengthen our resources, our capabilities ofdefending our
country. We can’t be relying forever,” Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Salvador
Panelo said when asked about President Duterte’s position regarding Enhanced
Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA).

Secretary Panelo said.
