It was a typical school day in Manila, where everybody can
see street vendors outside the gates of the school.
But this day is apparently not an ordinary day, as observed
by Jason Villeza. He saw a taho vendor near the Technological University of the
Philippines (TUP) in Manila giving away his stock of taho for free.
The curiosity got into him, so he approached the taho vendor
and asked why is he giving away his precious product randomly to people for
free.

"Kahapon kasi nang makita kong libre, na-curious agad
ako. Halatang frustrated siya eh. Kasi wala masyadong nabili. Binayaran ko muna
ng bente kahit libre raw," Villeza narrated.
Manong Jimmy answered Villeza’s question by saying that he
had suffered a stroke and he had to give the remaining taho for free so he can
go home without carrying the heavy load in his shoulders.

Villeza who was just passing by because he had to secure some
documents decided to help Manong Jimmy to the point he bought half og the
remainng taho to make up for the capital Manong Jimmy invested in the product.
"Paglabas ko tinulungan ko siya maglako at mamigay.
Binili ko na halos kalahati ng tinda niya kasi puhunan niya dun ay 700. At
hanggang maubos sinamahan ko siya," said Villeza
The good hearted Mr. Villeza posted Manong Jimmy’s plight and
story so not only to to tell the people to patronize his taho but also to find some
other good hearted and very capable Filipinos can help him with his condition.

Oy bilhin niyo
na taho ni manong Jimmy P. Conos! Pinamimigay niya na kasi walang nabili.
Bayaran niyo pa rin siya. Na-stroke si manong last May 2019 kaya mabilis na
siyang mapagod at hirap na siya sa paglalako. Nais niyang magkaroon ng
bisikleta na may sidecar para magawa ulit ang dating gawi niya.
Dito siya ngayon sa may TUP Manila.
UPDATE: Binili ko na yung kalahati ng taho ni
Manong. Punta na lang kayo sa kanya para sa libreng taho! Araw-araw pala niya
pinapamigay kapag bandang 9:00 AM na para lang maubos at wala na siyang bitbit
na mabigat pauwi.
