Fresh with the news that the Philippines just awarded Mitsubishi Shipbuilding of Japan a contract to design,
build, and deliver 2 94-meter Multi-Role Response Vessels (MRRVs) for the
Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) last week, another good news follows.

PCG’s new acquisition is the airbus helicopters H145 is a
4-tonne-class twin-engine helicopter equipped with high frequency radios,
emergency flotation gear, fast roping, cargo sling, search light, and
electro-optical systems to perform critical missions including search and
rescue, medical evacuation, maritime patrol, and maritime law enforcement.

The PCG procurement of new assets is part of the PCG’s modernization
project - Light to Medium Multi-Purpose Twin Engine Helicopter Acquisition
Project.
The PCG personnel who will operate the newest flying assets
have already undergone comprehensive training in Germany last year.
Last week it was just reported that the Department of
Transportation (DOTr) has awarded the contract is PY 14,550,000,000.00 to Mitsubishi Shipbuilding of Japan a contract to design,
build, and deliver 2 94-meter Multi-Role Response Vessels (MRRVs) for the
Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)
“The project involves the acquisition of two (2) heavy
weather, high endurance 94-meter Multi-Role Response Vessels (MRRVs), to
provide the PCG with vessels with a cruising range capability of 4,000 nautical
miles, can be used in Sea-State 6 (wave height of up to 6 meters) in rough sea
condition, and are capable to conduct continuous maritime patrol up to 15 days
at 15 knots,” NEDA said.
