ABS-CBN will have another problem on its way.
In a report published in The Manila Times, the Office of the
Solicitor General (OSG) are making a case as against the Lopez owned television
giant and will formally ask the Supreme Court (SC) to revoke the legislative
franchise.
According to the Manila Times report, the OSG has already
finished a draft petition of a quo warranto and the said petition is expected
to be filed sometime next week.

It is expected as always Solicitor General Jose Calida will
lead the petition in its invocation of the judiciary powers of the SC.
Under Rule 66 of the Rules of Court, a legislative franchise
may be revoked if there are violations committed by a corporation or entity.
The filing is said to be because of the alleged violations ABS-CBN
of the “terms and conditions “ of the franchise granted to them by Congress,
according to the Manila Times report.
“There were several
violations filed by ABS-CBN in their legislative franchise. A petition will be
filed before the Supreme Court to revoke its grant,” the source stated.
The source, however,
did not give details on the violations.
