Senator De Lima behind ICC case vs Duterte — Sabio

Lawyer Jude Sabio is now spilling all the beans for the public to know, after withdrawing his signed complaint he filed before the International Criminal Court(ICC) in 2017 he has now dropped the name of opposition and detained senator Leila De Lima as one of the minds behind the filing of the case in the ICC.

Sabio after making it known that he is withdrawing the case he has filed against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte before the ICC and has accused detained senator Leila De Lima and former senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

“When I went to the ICC, Senator De Lima was already under detention. So I had no opportunity to talk to her or coordinate with her anymore. But all this time, she was also involved in the ICC case,” Sabio said

Sabio categorically said that the communication he filed in 2017 in the ICC was “nothing else but a political propaganda” of De Lima, Trillanes and the opposition Liberal Party.

Atty, Sabio reiterated that he was not paid by any party in withdrawing the ICC complaint and that he made the decision after realizing that the opposition only used him to attack President Duterte.

“All of them, they cannot be trusted with the way they handled me. If you read my withdrawal from the ICC, you will find indications that these people only want to use and exploit me in their political agenda,” the lawyer said.

Sabio said Trillanes asked him to file the ICC communication, he relied on the accounts of confessed hitmen Edgar Matobato and Arturo Lascañas, who both accused President Duterte of leading the Davao death squad when he was still mayor of Davao City.

While for De Lima, Sabio said she was behind Matobato’s filing  of murder and kidnapping charges before the Office of the Ombudsman against the President in 2016 ove rthe alleged killings in Davao city.

“I personally submitted that complaint before the ombudsman on orders of Senator De Lima,” he claimed.
