President Duterte conducts aerial inspection amidst Taal Volcano’s continuing unrest

While the whole country is now facing the eruption of Taal volcano from Batangas and everybody is experiencing ashfall for the first time the country is now adjusting as the situation is now “wait and see” situation.

Most of the citizenry are now trying to get for themselves a face mask whether it be the most common and to the much needed N95 model which is the mot appropriate to protect one’s body from ashfall.

This morning President Rodrigo Roa Duterte with senator Bong Go coming directly from Davao to Manila made an unscheduled aerial inspection of the situation in Taal, to see for himself the effect of the volcano’s phreatic eruption.

“Nagsagawa ng aerial inspection sina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Senator Bong Go ngayong umaga, January 13, upang malaman kung gaano kalaki ang epekto ng pagsabog ng Bulkang Taal,” the office of Senator Go said.
“Galing sila sa Davao City at pabalik ng Manila. First to land din sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ngayong araw ang eroplanong kanilang sinakyan,” it added.
Since yesterday afternoon the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has placed Taal Volcano at Alert Level 4 which means hazardous explosive eruption is possible within hours to days.

Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Panelo earlier said President Duterte “has already given instructions to undertake measures necessary to place the people within the perimeter of Taal out of the danger zone.”
“Concerned agencies of the national government are now working closely with the Provincial Government of Batangas to ensure the safety of the residents, including their evacuation,” Panelo added.
