PH Army responds to volcano eruption-affected areas

While the whole country is now facing the eruption of Taal volcano from Batangas and everybody is experiencing ashfall for the first time the country’s government troops are already in the ground helping our countrymen to relocate from a much safer place.

Since yesterday afternoon the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has placed Taal Volcano at Alert Level 4 which means hazardous explosive eruption is possible within hours to days.

"We assure the people that the Philippine Army is fully able and ready to help in this time of need. Along with our partner agencies, we will do everything we can and employ our capabilities to bring the affected families to safety," said Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay, the Commanding General Philippine Army.
