'MMDA enforcer hailed for helping sick kid stuck in traffic, given permanent position'

This is another “not all heroes wear capes” kind of story that will touch your heart.

In the midst of horrendous heavy traffic a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcer did an act that is more than expected of him.

A split moment when he saw a mother rushing his child to the nearest hospital MMDA Traffic Enforcer 3 Jeremi Jorge Lukban approached the vehicle driven by Mit Javellana, sensing she was in a hurry.

Lukban found out the boy’s predicament, he voluntarily helped the boy by carrying him to the hospital.
“When he learned that we were heading to the emergency room of the hospital, he offered to carry Earl on his back so that we could immediately bring him to the hospital,” the mother of the sick boy said in Filipino.
MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim was the proudest when he learned about Lukban helping the sick boy and because of this selfless act he was made a permanent employee.

MMDA said a certificate of commendation will be given to Lukban at the agency’s flag-raising ceremony on January 27. He will also be given a permanent position, as he is currently only holding a job order position in the agency.
