There
is an old quote that says “it take a village to raise a child.”
This
was very true during the ancient times wherein the human society has not yet
evolved into a much more advance human communities, wherein the existence of
certain profession are already present.
One
such profession is that of a teacher, most specially here in the Philippines
where teachers are the ones who molds the young minds who will eventually be
the citizens of this nation of ours.

Second
mom, that is also the association we give to our noble teachers, since most
Filipino children spend their time growing up in school from as early as pre school, elementary, high
school, senior high school, and the collegiate years.
The
teaching profession is considered one if not the noblest profession in the
Philippines and a viral post showing the greatness and value of one’s molder of
young minds, a teacher is not limited to the roles of teaching the children but
also to take care of the babies of their students.
In
her post that since has been viral, teacher Clariz Jane Lasala of Saint Joseph Institute of Technology, Butuan
City, choose to take the high road in order to help her student in her
attainment of studies.
One
of her student asked for permission to be excused from her scheduled quiz,
because there is no one who would take care of her baby.
[Ma'am? Pwede ba akong
mag excuse sa quiz ngayong araw? Wala kasi pong magbabantay sa aking baby.]
her student said.
And
instead of agreeing to the said excusable request, the young teacher told the
student to go to school in order to take the quiz, and assured her that she will
take care of her baby.
Take the quiz and I’ll
take care of your baby, she told her student.
Take the quiz and I’ll take care of your baby
She
ended her Facebook post with this simple message of thanks:
This experience is from
above to help me become a person for and with others and I count this as a
blessing. I am blessed and truly full. 🥺💛
