Good Samaritan: Habang ang iba nanamantala, face masks ipinamigay nang libre ni Kuya




A bulletin has already been released by the Department of Health (DOH) regarding the harmful effects of inhaling ashfall.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has raised the alert status of the volcano to Alert level 4 indicating "hazardous eruption imminent."



DOH in its advisory the volcanic ash, which may contain powder-size to sand-size particles, may cause health problems. Persons who are suffering from bronchitis, emphysema or asthma are advised to avoid exposure to volcanic ash.

Among the effects of volcanic ash are nose and throat irritation, coughing, bronchitis-like illness, discomfort while breathing and eye irritation. It may also cause minor skin problems and injuries or death due to roof collapse or vehicular accident due to slippery roads and poor visibility, the DOH said.
Reports have been coming in that there is now a panic buying among the citizenry for the acquisition of facial mask most especially the N95 kind which is the most ideal against the ill-effects of the volcanic ash fall.

But among those greedy business men who are hoarding facial masks in order to command a much bigger price upon its sale after the demand has skyrocketed, a good Samaritan has emerged in the wake of this natural calamity.

“This guy giving free mask while stores hiked up their prices…good job juya..God bless you,”
