The Philippine President is making his stand known  again for the International community to understand.

Its threat to scrapped the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with the United States of America is not principally because his close and loyal pal senator Ronald Dele Rosa got his US visa cancelled.

More than ever, President Duterte is demanding not only to the US which is the Philippines mutual defense ally – a reciprocated mutual respect as sovereign equals among nations.

Dr. Richard Mata in his Facebook post  explains the threat given by the President as regards the continuation of the VFA.

Of course this is not about Sen Bato, it all starts with the US insulting our judicial system and questioning the imprisonment of de Lima. He doesn’t care even if its Sen Bong or Mayor Sara’s visas are not approved due to other reasons.

Sen Bato’s visa cancellation is just a verification of the issue about US Senators intervening, that it wasnt a fake news.

Why did PRRD threatened VFA cancellation over Sen Bato’s visa issue?

You will observe small minded people see this move. They will say, you are just focusing on Bato only, how about the whole country?

Of course this is not about Sen Bato, it all starts with the US insulting our judicial system and questioning the imprisonment of de Lima. He doesn’t care even if its Sen Bong or Mayor Sara’s visas are not approved due to other reasons.

Sen Bato’s visa cancellation is just a verification of the issue about US Senators intervening, that it wasnt a fake news.

I haven’t seen any issues about the US questioning other countries when they imprison an official but why the Philippines? It’s a sign that the US Senators look at us as nothing.

We look too small, that they don’t show respect, and just release statements like “free de Lima or else”.

Of course we know who are behind this. Its the yellows who went out of the country to get allies because PRRD is simply too popular in the Philippines thats why they seek for ICC and also US Senators.

It’s therefore not about Bato. Its about how we must stand up against bullies who look down on us like we are just worms.

I support PRRDs call to cancel VFA if they continue their disrespect to our country.

Visiting Forces Agreement of course by the word agreement entails mutual respect in all angles.

I thank PRRD for showing the world today that we demand respect as equals.

Its not about Bato. If they bring back Bato’s visa within a month, it means they need the VFA and that they will no longer interfere with the de Lima imprisonment and our judiciary.

If they won’t, then VFA therefore is not important for them, then its also not important for us, we have other ways.

So you think that our relationship with US will weaken because of that? Well the act of US Senators attacking our judicial system, is the cause. Why blame PRRD? It’s not wrong to show the world that we don’t tolerate these kinds of treatment.
