Ex-NPA cadre begins new life with studies




There is more to life, most especially after the life of an armed struggle fighting for a dead ideology.

A rebel returnee who goes by the alias of “Kim”, hailing from Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, is giving herself a new lease in life, as she is scheduled to graduate from senior high school this coming March and is planning to take business and finance in college.





Kim is but one of the thousands who availed of the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program or E-CLIP, which is being administered by Task Force "Balik Loob", the Department of National Defense (DND) said.

Kim wasn just apart of the many people who have turned a new life , she and other rebels have Duterte and some ally senators have given them a fresh start in life.

Her foray in the red communists started when she she was asked to attend indoctrination sessions, which escalated into her being a medic tasked to care for wounded and sick New People's Army (NPA) fighters.


Kim said she regretted this decision as this forced her away from her family and her studies.
DND spokesperson Arsenio Andolong said Kim is now enjoying E-CLIP benefits, such as housing, livelihood,
Kim is also being supported and protected by a nearby Army unit while studying.
Spearheaded by the Philippine Army with the help of rebel returnees like Dylan prevent other youths from being lured by the false promises of the communist rebel movement.


Oher than the Philippines, other countries like United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, has tagged the Communist Party of Philippines -New People’s Army(CPP-NPA) as a terror group.
