De Lima supports Robredo; calls Panelo "hypocritical"

The Vice President found allies among her partymates in the Liberal Party.

Detained opposition senator Leila De Lima has issued a statement from Camp Crame Detention center making it known that the Vice President Leni Robredo has her support for the released report regarding the administration’s ongoing war on drugs.

Actually it is not only De Lima have backed Robredo but all the members of the minority Liberal Party has supported their partymate.

The Vice President during her press conference read and explained in full detail her comments and recommendations regarding the current status of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s ongoing war on illegal drugs, all of which she got from her brief stint as co-chair of the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD).

Well researched – De Lima on Robredo’s report

De Lima, a partymate of Robredo in the Liberal party , has described the Robredo report as "a well-researched, data-driven and a completely objective look on the President's War on Drugs."

She further explains that the Robredo report shows "reveal[ed] a deep grasp of the real drug situation, including the gaps and shortcomings in the bureaucratic structures and strategies."

"Meanwhile, Panelo attempted to discredit her report even without reading it," she added.

"It is hypocritical of Panelo to dismiss VP Leni because she didn't take part in any ground operations during her 18-day stint when not even the president did so in all of his three and a half years in office."
