Ayalas more corrupt than Customs - Pres.Duterte

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte made an attack again against the Ayalas, calling them more corrupt than the Bureau of Customs.
It might be recalled the President a few weeks ago lashed out the Ayala group in connection the onerous water deals they have entered with the government.

Duterte reminded his audience that the so-called “atrocities” of the Ayala family is not limited to the water sector.

“It’s not merely — it’s not merely in the water sector. It’s in the LRT and some lands that were leased to them. Would you believe it? At 70 pesos per hectare ‘yung lupa diyan sa UP,” Duterte saidin a speaking engagement in Quezon City.
A few days ago the Chief Executive ordered the review of the UP-Ayala Land Technohub lease agreement, which is believed to be disadvantageous to the government.
“Talagang if you compute, all the corruptions done by those, ‘yung mga Customs, it pales in comparison sa nakaw nitong…,” he said.

Duterte also criticized the development arm of the Ayala group of companies- the Ayala Foundation which he likened to Salonpas, one of the many pain relief product in the market.
“And yet they come up with a program, well-publicized, that they have this foundation sending people to states, the United States, and spending… Pero wala ‘yan pang — pangpa-ano lang ‘yan, kung pa ano pa pang-salonpas lang ‘yan sa sakit,” he said.
