Vice President Maria Leonor ‘Leni” Robredo was
definitely watching history unfolds in Bulacan.
The Vice President cannot hide her elation of the
very beautiful Southeast Asian Games opening, in its 30th edition.
"Nakaka-proud maging Pinoy! Maraming salamat sa ating
mga atleta, world champions, mga tagapagtanghal, and to everyone behind the
#SEAGames2019 opening ceremony," she tweeted.

The opening saw the parade of more than 5,000 athletes
athletes from 11 countries on center stage.
Team Philippines was led by 2020 Olympic
pole-vaulter EJ Obiena and Asian Games champion Margielyn Didal.
The carrying of the SEA Games federation flag became
nostalgic for the host country, when the Philippines’ sports legend were the
one’s carrying it - Alvin Patrimonio, Efren "Bata" Reyes, Mansueto
"Onyok" Velasco, Lydia de Vega, Bong Coo, Paeng Nepomuceno, Eric
Buhain and Akiko Thomson.
The Chief Executive President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
led the opening in the Philippine Arena and was joined by the Sultan of Brunei,
Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, whose nephews are part of his country's delegation to
the Games.
A few weeks back President Duterte fired Robredo
for being the country’s drug czar and co-chair of the of the Inter-Agency
Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
“She made
an asshole of herself. Always talking. Ang ayaw ko dun (What I don’t
like about it is) the first thing she did was to go to the embassy of the
United States of America, then to the UN (United Nations) then to the EU
(European Union),” Duterte said.
