The
old rule, “don’t judge the book by it cover” will always find its place in the
scheme of things- most especially on unexpected places/time.
One
of those story is that of an old man who really just wanted to know what a milk
tea taste like.
And
after making that wish come thru, little that he knew a surprise is still in
the offing…

LOOK: A social
media post of a milk tea place in Dasmariñas, Cavite went viral after it
touched the hearts of thousands of netizens.
According to Julio Mallari, owner of Cabin Brew Milk Tea, an elderly
vendor was seen curiously checking out the menu of his shop on Monday.
Mallari said he immediately offered the elderly man a cup of milk tea
for free. The post said the man chose the “Dark Choco” variant of the drink.
“Tay, itago mo na yang P100 mo,” Mallari told him.
But what the elderly man replied surprised the owner of the milk tea
shop.
“Pili ka sa paninda ko iho, gusto mo walis, palanggana, hanger? Libre ko
din,” the man said.
Mallari said he was amazed by what he heard, “bihira yung taong may will
to give back. Napaka-pure niya,” he said referring to the elderly man.
“Nagpapasalamat si tatay kasi sobrang saya niya. First time niya kasi
nakatikim ng milk tea,” Mallari added.
Mallari said the man was able to earn P1,000 already at noon time the
following day because people were able to recognize him through the viral post.
“Nakakatuwa kasi kayang-kaya pa pala natin gawing magandang platform ang
social media,” Mallari said.
