MVP open to forging block time agreement with ABS-CBN

What is there for the TV giant network that is ABS-CBN.

In a speech delivered by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in North Cotabato he slammed again ABS-CBN for its biased news against his administration and the swindling of his money when his campaign ad was not aired during the presidential campaign in 2016.

"Your contract is about to expire. You will try to renew it but I don't know what will happen to that," the president said

"Kung ako sa inyo ipagbili niyo na 'yan. Kasi ang mga Filipino ngayon lang makaganti sa inyong kalokohan (If I were you, I would sell it. It's only now that Filipinos would be able to get back at your wrongdoings). And I will make sure that you will remember this episode of our times forever," he added.

TV5 to the rescue of Channel 2

Manuel V. Pangilinan the chairman of TV5 Network Inc. made its stand to be open to the possibility of entering into block time agreement with the ABS-CBN corporation should they fail to secure a renewal of its legislative franchise.

“We have lots of highways…Setting politics aside, if they want to enter into a block time deal, wala naman kaming masyadong entertainment content,” said Pangilinan.

Pangilinan was quick to point at that there is no ongoing negotiation with channel 2 group.

“They haven’t approached us. Walang kumakausap sa amin,” he said

“I don’t want to be presumptuous. We don’t want to think about it. We don’t want to take the first step,” Pangilinan said.

The Salim group CEO Pangilinan, made known his reluctance to forge any deal with AS-CBN because  of the political issues with President Duterte occupying Malacanang.
