In a country like ours, Education has been in
time in memorial has been given a premium, it’s a way for one’s family to get
out of poverty.
Despite all government attention to provide
free education to all Filipinos, it is not that simple.

Jhonrick Art Catindoy Orense is an inspiration
for all Filipino students who has fears it cannot be done, because he done what
feared before to be impossible.
Now, 21 years old, he said he applied for scholarships
and looked for other ways to earn money so he can sustain his studies withoudt
further burdening his parents by asking money.
“Gumagawa din po ako logo ng mga
student organizations, paintings like murals, tapos minsan nagju-judge at
nagiging speaker din po ako ng mga workshops (related to art),” he said.
According to Jhonrick Art, his parents are his inspiration to finish studies.
“I finished my college kasi ayoko nang maulit yung mga moment na walang laman ‘yung bigasan namin. Asin ‘yung ulam ni tatay at baon niya sa trabaho tapos si inay kamatis lang at kape,” he shared.
Jhonrick, who is consistent honor student since high school, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
According to Jhonrick Art, his parents are his inspiration to finish studies.
