President
Rodrigo Roa Duterte slams Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) again for being
biased in favor of those oligarchs it serves as matter.
During
his talk in North Cotabato, in the same event that he told ABS-CBN owners to just
sell the tv network for being biased and of "swindling" him for not
airing his campaign commercial, barely three months from the expiration of its
legislative franchise, he also made mention of the Philippine Daily Inquirer
(PDI).
Duterte
set his sights to broadsheet calling it a “mouthpiece’ of oligarchs.

"You son of a b****, Inquirer,
everyone. You are silent. Because you are the mouthpiece of oligarchs in the
Philippines. You son of a b**** Inquirer, you are on the take," President
Duterte said.
"You are no better than a
prostitute. You sell your talent to the rich. Against the poor. Yan. That's why
I have always been angry with the rich," he added.
Duterte raised the issue again of the
owners of Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) using their influence to evade
payment of taxes due to government.
"They did not pay taxes, just
like donut, just like Inquirer," Duterte said, apparently referring to the
Prietos, the family that owns the broadsheet and the exclusive Philippine
franchisee of Dunkin' Donuts.
The President said that the Prieto's
only paid a measly P8 million to settle a P1 billion tax deficiency of Dunkin Donuts
during the time of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Simeon Aquino III.
