The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines
(CAAP) applauded two cleaners of the Zamboanga International Airport (ZIA) for
being honest and persons who should be emulated by future Filipinos.
According to CAAP
spokesperson Eric Apolonio cleaner Arron
Paul Villanueva found a yellow plastic bag at the pre-departure area last Sunday,It contained four mobile phones, one tablet computer, and 24 pieces of
sunglasses.

Villanueva turned
over the items to the airport's Malasakit Help Desk and the rightful owner was
able to claim his valuables the day after.
Last month,
another cleaner Ms. Gracelyn Alihuddin found a brown bag containing at least
PHP200,000 cash, a laptop, mobile phone, passport, and other documents.
Without hesitation
she surrendered the brown bag full of valuables to the nearest duty airport
police.
"The (owner),
who turns out to be a Chinese national, was staying at a hotel walking distance
from the airport, so he was able to claim the items he left on the same
day," Apolonio said.
The CAAP
spokesperson said the two cleaners Mr. Arron Paul Villanueva and Ms. Gracelyn Alihuddin
will get a certificate of special recognition during the ZIA's Christmas party
on December 16.
