Veteran journalist calls SOGIE bill Anti Family and Women

Senate President Vicente Sotto III gave it a simple explanation, saying that even if the Chief Executive certified the bill regarding the sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (Sogie) bill. as a priority bill it cannot readily translate the passing of such law in the Senate.

“The SOGIE bill, as is, will not make it even if the President certifies the Hontiveros version,” Sotto said in a statement, referring to SOGIE bill advocate opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros.

The Senate President justified his reasoning by invoking “separation of powers” between the three branches of government.

Debate among the citizenry are still as active as it is.

Veteran journalist Mr. Ermin Garcia , Jr. weighs in on the issue, calling outrightly the Sogie bill as anti Family and Women bill.

He reasons out his stand by saying: it discriminates vs the majority, threatens those who want to protect themselves vs transgenderism, a state of mental disorder that encourages male sexual perverts to violate women's and children's rights. Resistance is deemed a criminal offense, worse than committing libel.

Further he enjoins the lawmakers to “seek instead to protect our women, children, families vs imminent physical and mental abuses by those who will use transgenderism as a cover to wilfully violate, destroy established norms of order and civility.”

Let everyone learn the truism that respect is earned not imposed. Many in LGB sector are enjoying the respect they earned as individuals, but the transgender sector has not shown any redeeming value except to impose themselves on others, including the civil LGBs.
