The solving of the insurgency problem principally with the
Commuist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army has leveled up in the
Duterte administration.
In their serious bid to end this failed ideology, the
government has geared to put a stop on the pipelines that keeps funding the
communist group here in the country.
Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations and
other International Organizations Ambassador Evan Garcia at the general debate
on human rights situations during the 42nd Session of the Human Rights Council
in Geneva has called and
reiterated again the Philippine government’s request to Europe, the European
Union, and the international community to cease giving financial support to
groups linked to the Communist Party of the Philippines-New Peoples' Army
(CPP-NPA).

Garcia pointed out the numerous
atrocities done by the communists need the attention of the UNHRC.
"We call on the European Union, European states, and the
international community to stop enabling these groups by strengthening due
diligence mechanisms for their relevant agencies," he said during a speech
on September 17.
The envoy said the CPP-NPA has abused the good faith of the
UN system "to run fictitious social programs while financing their
criminal activities and peddling false claims on the human rights situation in
the Philippines, even as it has perpetuated systemic and unspeakable atrocities
to its followers and indigenous communities across the country for decades."
Garcia presented as pieces of evidence the government data
and the personal account of the indigenous people(IP) affected by the communist
movement themselves.
