UP alumnus writes open letter to UP Board re hiring Trillanes as faculty: a disservice and a disgrace for UP!!!

It would seem a lot of Filipinos rejoiced when then Senator Antonio Trillanes IV steps down from being a senator, they say for now the political landscape with respect to the opposition and the incumbent Duterte administration would be some sort of  - silent.

But in an exclusive interview with Karen Davilla ANC’s show, when the latter asked the reitired senator what is he up to, a lot was surprised to know that he was offered a jon to be a professor in the University of the Philippines (UP) and from Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU).

Aside from those who are supporting the President, a vocal alumnus of the state university did not had this just by being quite, Benedict Exconde slams UP’s board members for allowing the former Magdalo to be part of the faculty of the State university.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS AND OFFICIALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, FROM A U.P ALUMNUS

Dear University of the Philippines Board of Regents and other officials,

Please be informed that this early, I strongly object to the idea of employing Antonio Trillanes IV as a faculty member at our university.

It is a disservice and a disgrace for our alma mater to employ an individual who has repeatedly tried to overthrow and undermine the authority of a legitimately elected government, and openly disrespected the will of the majority of the Filipino people.

Do we really want to the masses to lose their respect towards UP by taking such a sorry and stupid route, or perhaps all of you are contented with seeing UP being the symbol of the same obstructionist and opportunist force that the said person now represents?
