NAIA 1 janitor returns bag with over P400K in cash

Despite the need for materialistic need which is the pitfall of all men, this one soul begs to differ.

A janitor in the country’s premier airport – Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, gave back to the authorities a bag containing EUR7,300 (PHP427,050), an iPad and a wallet.

As per Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA)somebody called the attention of  janitor Sixto Brillante Jr. about a bag that was possibly left by a passenger.

Brillante in his desire to look for the bag owner sought the help of a  a colleague to locate the owner via the paging system of the airport. He eventually turned over the bag to the airport's Lost and Found section.
After less than two hours, a foreign passenger came, and was verified to be the rightful owner of the bag, by the airport authorities.

MIAA also reported that earlier last week, a SIM (subscriber identification module) card vendor at NAIA Terminal 1 found a wallet at the lobby and turned this over to the Lost and Found section.
The said wallet contained USD2,000, PHP30,390 and several IDs.
As per MIAA, airport authorities were able to contact the wallet's owner through social media.
The wallet owner claimed the said wallet the following day.

Both Brillante and the SIM card vendor are due for commendation next month by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
