Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) gave a statement that Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo can be impeached for endorsing the resolution adopted by the United Nations Human Rights (UNHRC) seeking to review the country’s war on illegal drugs.

"Vice President Robredo's expression of support to the UNHRC resolution against the Philippine government may cause her to be impeached," PACC commissioner Atty. Manuelito Luna said in a statement.

"For the nth time, she has made it appear that the government is guilty of human rights abuses, and that's betrayal of public trust.
"It's about time that she should be held to account for her political sins against the Filipino people."
The Vice President was quoted in saying that she welcomes the UN investigators when their review on the alleged human-rights violations starts.

“Ako, oo. Ie-entertain sila, kasi miyembro tayo ng United Nations at mayroong mga procedures na sinusunod,” she told radio station DZMM.
The Iceland led resolution was adopted by the Council, Eighteen countries voted yes and 14 no, while 15 abstained from the poll held in Geneva.

Iceland slammed by the President

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte slams the Nordic nation for endorsing the resolution, saying it does not understand problems faced by Manila.

“Anong problema ng Iceland? Ice lang. That's your problem, you have too much ice, and there is no clear day or night there... You can understand no crime, there is no policeman either and they just go about eating ice,” Duterte said.
