Moreno knows his roots that is why he has been aggressive in his plans to
change the way the historic city of Manila is being governed.
Moreno could not help but
embrace his former boss Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade when they

in October 2017, citing personal reasons.
During the press
conference, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade are all praises for Moreno
for doing the things that needs to be done, adding that he has the support of
the Duterte administration.
"Bumulong ako sa
kanya at sinabi ko: 'Boss, wag kang bibitaw. Nandirito kami at nandirito ang
pamahalaang Duterte, nandirito ang Kagawaran ng Transportasyon. Wag kang
bibitaw,'" he told reporters.
In the first days as
Manila mayor, Moreno was able to pursue his clean drive in the city, including
removing street vendors in various areas in the capital, specifically in
Divisoria, Blumentritt, Quiapo, and in Carriedo.
Department of Foreign
Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., meanwhile, praised both Tugade and Moreno
as "two good men in public service."
