Good news for the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
The first 10 of 16 Black Hawk helicopters will be delivered to the
Philippine Air Force (PAF) by 2020.
Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Rozzano Briguez told mediamen that the first 10 helicopters would be delivered in
batches while the remaining six will be delivered in 2021.

The 16 Sikorsky S-70i Black
Hawk helicopters will cost the Philippine government a total of P12 billion — this
replaced the canceled contract of 16 Bell 412EP helicopters from Canada, after
some Canadian officials said the said helis cannot be used that will further
aggravate the so-called Human rights records even if it’s a valid insurgency
problem.
The helis will be built in Poland by Poland’s PZL Mielec, Lockheed Martin’s biggest production facility outside the US.

At the celebration of the 72nd Air Force anniversary, Briguez
announced the rest of the upcoming air assets and target delivery dates:
· - one C-130 transport aircraft by the
last quarter of 2019
· - additional six NC-212i light lift
aircraft in 2020
· - one C-295 fixed-wing aircraft later
this month
· - one G280 jet in 2020
· - six A-29 Super Tucano in February 2020
· - four unmanned aerial systems in 2019
