The
Communist Party of the Philippines might have pulled one against the Duterte
administration.
Philippine
National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde said the CPP could be
possibly be behind the adoption of the resolution of the United Nation Human
Rights Council (UNHRC) calling on the Philippines
“[That’s] possible. It’s because that’s part of propaganda also.
‘Yung (the) CPP-NPA (New People’s Army) is so against the Duterte
administration now, so pwede (it’s possible),” Albayalde told reporters

Albayalde said the CPP has “contacts
and connections” when asked how the group may have influenced the UN to make a
move.
The PNP top cop explained that the CPP would not have reached its
50th anniversary last December of 2018 were it not for these contacts.
“Alam naman natin na may (We know there are) other sectors in our
society, in our community that are secretly funding and supporting this
underground movement. Hindi magiging 50 years na problema natin ito kung walang
suporta ito (They would not reach 50 years if it does not have any support),”
he said.
Albayalde said efforts to topple the government are not only being pushed
through armed struggle but also through massive propaganda.
“You do not win a war only by armed battle. May kasamang
intelligence, propaganda (You also need intelligence and propaganda),” he said.
