Clock is ticking and June 30 is just around the corner.
Outgoing Senator Antonio Trillanes IV knows his parliamentary
immunity will be lost by the time he steps down as senator of the republic, and
he knows that the counter attack dogs of those he has attacked before as
senator will be hunting for him.
This was his answer to those foes who will be planning to summon
him to congressional hearings in the near future.
Even before his term expires as senator in June 30, some
personalities has already made it public that they will summon the opposition
senator when a congressional probe is opened.
Trillanes was the guest during the Kapihan sa Senado, was asked if
he would attend to these invitations, he answered a categorical yes.
“Sige. Game! Bring it on!” said Trillanes, a staunch critic of
President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Yun ngang paninindak ni Duterte mismo, yung pinakang master nila
e, hindi ako natatakot. Dito pa sa mga amuyong na ito, ‘di ba? Ay, ano na pala
sila, honorable elected officials,” he added.
Special Assistant to the President and noe senator elect, Christopher “Bong” Go was earlier quoted saying he might summon Trillanes to a Senate probe.
Presidential son, and now incoming Davao representative Paolo Duterte also called for a probe on allegations that the Liberal Party and other opposition personalities, including Senator Antonio Trillanes, were behind the so-called “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, which features “Bikoy” as the hooded man reciting the alleged illegal activities tied with the President Duterte.
