It all makes sense now, all these accusations and criticisms as
against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo just made a statement
in public that "anything is possible" when asked about a possible
2022 presidential bid , but she also emphasized it was useless, for now, to prepare for an
election.
"Lahat naman posible,
dahil yun nga yung history pinakita na, ako hindi ko naman pinlano kahit ano.
Tingin ko yung presidency, ano yon, destiny," she told reporters in Naga
City.

(Anything is possible. History
showed that I didn't plan for anything. I think the Presidency is destiny.)
"Kahit anong paghahanda
mo, kung hindi para sayo, hindi talaga para sayo. Kung after three years na
bumuti yung sitwasyon bakit hindi? Pero ngayon useless talaga na paghandaan
iyon."
(No matter how much you
prepare, if it's not for you, it won't be. If after three years the situation
will improve, why not? But right now it is useless to prepare for that.)
Heart for the Filipino fishermen
The Vice President also said she will push laws that would protect
Filipino fishermen.
"Mayroon tayong Fisheries
Code na ang implementasyon ay hindi maayos. Papano ba natin mapu-protect iyong
mga maliliit laban sa malalaki?" she said.
(We have a Fisheries Code that
is not properly implemented. How will we protect small fishermen from big
ones?)
"Iyong ating exclusive
economic zone sabi ng ating Konstitusyon, exclusive enjoyment at saka
utilization ng natural resources ay nasa Pilipino pero hindi yon na
nangyayari."
(It is stated in our
Constitution that our exclusive economic zone is for our exclusive enjoyment
and the utilization of natural resources are for the Filipinos but it does not
happen.)
