Trillanes : DOJ possibly trying to cover up ‘Bikoy’ allegations

Opposition senator Antonio Trillanes IV calls the actions of the Department of Justice and the National Bureau of Investigation as something that could hold the accusations against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his immediate family as true.

“By virtue of their actions alone, medyo nagkakaroon ng credibility ang Bikoy allegations,” Senator Antonio Trillanes said.

Trillanes also said, the Department of Justice (DOJ) could be trying to cover up the drug allegations against the President and his family as exposed by the “And totoong Narcolist” as narrated by the hooded figure known as “Bikoy.”

“San ka nakakita ng cyberlibel lang pero buong DOJ, NBI [National Bureau of Investigation] ang nagkukumahog? Talagang pinagtatakpan nila ito,” the senator told AM radio station DWIZ.

NBI arrested Rodel Jayme, the website creator of metrobalita.net, which published links to Bikoy videos. Jayme has been found by the NBI to be the registrant and administrator of the said website.
The NBI also filed an inciting to sedition complaint against Jayme, wherein he has also been subjected to inquest proceeding before the National Prosecution Service (NPS).
Trillanes also chided the DOJ’s leadership in the investigation into the Bikoy videos, saying cyberlibel cases are considered to be only minor cases.

“Kasi kahapon, DOJ secretary ang namumuno sa kaso na minor lang — Inciting to sedition at cyberlibel. Municipal Trial Court dapat yan,” he said.
