My Father is healthy, stronger than a carabao - Paolo Duterte

Presidential son and former Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte has assured the public that his father is in the pink of health and “stronger than a carabao” amidst the swirling speculations that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is sick following a week’s absence in the public eye.

“Kusgan pa sa kabaw akong amahan. Lagsik pa kaayo (My father is stronger than a carabao. He is healthy),” the former Davao City vice mayor posted on Facebook.

Presidential spokesperson and Presidential Chief Legal counsel  Atty. Salvador Panelo also addressed the issue saying the 74 year old Chief executive is just in his hometown Davao City ‘busy with a lot of paper work.”

President Duterte was last seen in public last April 29, as a guest of honor during the opening of the Palarong Pambansa in Davao as the host city.

Paolo chided his father’s critics who were asking about the whereabouts of the president and did not miss him only wanted to know if the Chief Executive was ill or still alive.

“Don’t you worry. You will convulse to death ahead of Digong. Just go ahead, we’re fine with it,” the younger Duterte said.
