Former special assistant to the
President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has urged Filipinos to unite,
following a highly emotionally packed and divisive mid term elections.
As per the data from the
Commission on Elections transparency server, Go has won a Senate seat after garnering 19.81
million votes, with 94.85 percent of results counted.
He appeals to the public to unite
and work for the benefit of the country.

“Tapos
(The
elections has ended. It's time for us to unite and work on the things important
in making our country better.)
“Sama-sama
(Let's
uplift each other through fast and reliable government service.)
Go also thaned his long-time boss,
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, for his good showing in the Senate race.
“Itinuturing
kong pangalawang ama at guro si Pangulong Duterte. Sa pagsiserbisyo ko sa
kanya, nahubog ako sa tunay na serbisyong Tatak Duterte,” he said.
(I consider
President Duterte as my second father and teacher. By serving, I learned how to
serve Duterte-style.)
“Mas
(It
widened my views in life and I became more aware of the real needs of our
countrymen.).
