De Lima slams China re treatment of ex-Ombudsman Morales

Even at detention she has proven time and time again  she will not be silenced.
Detained opposition senator has slammed China for its ‘pathetic’ treatment of former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales.
“Those tense hours of not knowing their fate, detained for a cause that they do not know, is the closest experience to torture that they could have,” said De Lima in a dispatched letter from Camp Crame.

Carpio-Morales was detained, and the only reason the Hong Kong officials said is that she is being considered as a “security threat”

De Lima slams China in its treatment with Morales, a country not exactly known known for its sterling human rights record , whether for its occupied subjects, its national minorities, or even its own citizens,” she wrote.

Last March along side with former Department of Foreign Affairs secretary Albert del Rosario filed a communication with the International Criminal Court (ICC) for “crimes against humanity” committed at the expense of China’s reclamation activities on the West Philippine Sea.

The opposition senator has been detained in Camp Crame since February 2017, for the charges filed against her in connection with the trade of illegal drugs, which was rampant during her stint as the Department of Justice head.
