The star of the longest running primetime series “FPJ’s Ang
Probinsyano” Coco Martin has endorsed Sen. Grace Poe who is seeking reelection.
"Hinihingi ko po sana sa inyo ng suporta, dahil sa
sobrang pagmamahal ko sa taong ito at tinuturing kong ate. Ang isa sa mga taong
pinapakinggan ko at gumagabay sa akin—si Grace Poe,” (I am asking for your
support because I have so much love for this person who I consider as my elder
sister, one of the people who guides me—Grace Poe.)the actor told the crowd during a campaign rally in Danao city in the province of Cebu.
Senator Grace Poe a daughter of the late Fernando Poe, Jr. is
the firsr politician to be endorsed by Coco Martin, who according to a study
has the highest ‘endorsement value’ among the National Capital Region.

Martin was also found to have considerable appeal to
different socioeconomic sectors in the National Capital Region (NCR), appealing
to 57% of ABC members and 48% of DE members. He was also seen to appeal to most
of those between the ages of 35-44 (56%), followed by those aged 18-24 and 55
years and above (51%) according to political strategy firm PUBLiCUS Asia, Inc
for its ‘Pahayag NCR’ poll.
The 51 year old lady senator, has been a consistent leader in the senatorial preference surveys is seeking for another seat in the Senate as an independent candidate. She lost the presidential race to Rodrigo Duterte in 2016.
