Robredo slams President Duterte's 'tantrums,' threat of revolutionary war




Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo is disappointed with president Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
The disappointment comes from the statement of the president regarding him declaring a revolutionary government because of his administration’s critics.
The Vice president was in Bohol campaigning for opposition senatorial candidates, she admits that she was bothered by the threat uttered by the president that he would suspend the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus and order the arrest of all those who criticize the government.

“Hindi pwedeng parang dahil nag-alburuto, parang tatakutin ang taumbayan sa isang paraan na hindi konstitusyonal," she said.
(He shouldn't scare the public of unconstitutional means just because he is having a tantrum.)
"Tingin ko hindi ito responsable na response dahil kami pag pasok namin sa ganitong trabaho, pagsumpa namin na aayusin namin ang aming mandato at kabahagi na nito ang hirap,” she added.
(That's not a responsible response since difficulties are already part of our mandate when we took our oath of office.)

President’s frustration

During the campaign rally of the administration bets, Duterte has expressed his frustration over the statement of opposition senator Franklin Drilon that he should exercise with “extreme caution” in reviewing all government deals saying existing and binding contracts cannot simply be classified as onerous and canceled. “Pahirapan mo ako (make me suffer), I will declare a revolutionary war until the end of my term, then pasensiyahan tayo,” the president added.
