Di kami Dilawan- Otso Diretso candidates

Do they think we were born yesterday?
The opposition Otso Diretso coalition, cries that they are not a “yellow” force. They have emphasized that they are not the Liberal Party (LP) and has slammed insinuations that members’ unity, after former  Interior Secretary Mar Roxas’ campaign manager admitted that there is a concerted effort to  distance himself from the team.
“The story of Otso Diretso or its individual members is not based on the story of the Liberal Party or former President [Benigno] Aquino [III],” Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano said.

“There’s propaganda to paint the previous administration or any critic or opposition member as ‘yellow,’ and that we all have the same faces,” Alejano told mediamen.

Let’s not be taken in by such propaganda,” he added.

Yellow is Aquino’s color

The color has always been associated with the Aquino’s from the late Corazon Aquino down to his son Benigno Aquino III, both colors were used in their successful bid to Malacanang.
In 2016, Mar Roxas gave way to Noynoy Aquino to be the standard bearer for the Liberal Party, this was considered now as a big mistake and regretted by Roxas, as it has associated him fully to the Aquino’s yellow.
It was a conscious decision [to change colors] because one mistake [Roxas] made in 2016 was acting like Robin to [Aquino’s] Batman . . . and Robin will never be Batman,” Roxas campaign manager for the 2019 mid term elections Caloocan representative Erice said.
