Bato to admin critics : bibigyan ko kayo ng baril at bala, atakihin natin ‘yan China

The CNN senatorial debate that was telecast this weekend was the opportune time for the candidates to be known by the electorate to help them decide who they will vote for.
But it seems the whole idea got weird because only one candidate shown brighter than the others, its former Philippine National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa as against the 7 senatorial candidates of the Liberal Party led Otso Diretso slate.
He challenged the administration critics to just join him in “attacking” China instead of finding fault in the present administration’s policies on the South China Sea dispute.

“Baka akala niyo kayo lang ang patriotic, si Duterte hindi, kami hindi. Well I must tell you frankly, kung sino gustong sumama sa akin, bibigyan ko kayo ng baril at bala, atakihin natin ‘yan (China). Oh, matapang kayo? Atakihin natin 'yan,” Dela Rosa said amid heated discussions in the CNN Philippines Senatorial Debate.
He made the statement as he chide the opposition candidates , saying that the Chinese incursions have started during the time of former president Benigno Aquino III and not solely at the time when the Duterte administration started.
“Ang mahirap sa atin, sisi kayo nang sisi kay Duterte administration na hindi pinapaalis (ang China). Kaninong panahon ba nagsimulang pumasok ang mga Intsik diyan?... ‘Di ba sa panahon ng mga kapartido niyo, mga Otso Diretso?” dela Rosa said.
The Philippines lost its effective control of Panatag/Scarborough shoal in 2012, under the watch of Aquino III, his Foreign Affairs secretary Albert del Rosario. And it was because of this the country had to file a complaint before the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Haguechallenging China's claims, to which we eventually won.
