The
opposition has taken advantage of the situation, well for obvious reasons –
media mileage for the upcoming elections.
Opposition
senatorial candidate Gary Alejano slammed the threat of President Rodrigo Roa
Duterte in declaring a revolutionary war/government and the suspension of the
writ of habeas corpus which consequently arrest the critics and detractors of
his government.
Alejano
dared President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to just step down from his post if he can
no longer handle the different issued hounding the country.
‘wag nya tayo idamay lahat sa mainit niyang ulo,” the Magdalo party-list
representative said in Bohol where they are scheduled for a campaign sortie with the Vice president Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo.
He downplays the threat of President Duterte as a mere diversion of issues
against his administration like “onerous” loan agreement with China and the
alleged involvement of his son with illegal drugs.
‘yan,” Alejano said.
The
former military man has expressed his confidence that the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (AFP) will not support anything or anyone and will remain loyal to
the Constitution.
